Today, students were introduced to their Benjamin Franklin Synthesis Group Poster Contest assignment. The winners of this contest will earn an extra one-week extension on their research papers! Please continue to check the blog daily, for detailed information on class activities, assignments, requirements, and deadlines. Today, students finished viewing PBS Secrets of the Dead: The Witches' Curse, and they turned in the accompanying research analysis viewing guides. Then, the class engaged in Friday Forum presentations. After the amazing presentations, we reviewed the characteristics of rhetorical analysis writing, and students were instructed to revise the rhetorical analysis of their choice. This rhetorical analysis will be submitted on Monday and will be graded as a major assignment.
Reminders:
Today, students were given their study guide for Monday's exam over the Colonial era and The Crucible. The class also discussed the USA TestPrep Red Dot Assignment which will be used to help students identify their individual strengths and weaknesses and provide individualize instructional and practice opportunities. Then, the class began viewing PBS Secrets of the Dead: The Witches' Curse and working on the accompanying research analysis viewing guide. Reminders:
Today, students read Act IV of The Crucible, completing the play, and were given time to work on their study guide questions. Then, as a class, we began reading chapter sixteen of Thank You for Arguing.
