Today, we began class by reading, discussing, and annotating chapter 3 of The Great Gatsby. Then, the class was given the remainder of the class period to work on their learning contracts.

Today, we continued our discussion of Sources of Strength. Then, the class completed reading, discussing, and annotating chapters one & two of The Great Gatsby. Students were given the remainder of the class period to work on their learning contracts and/or annotations.

Today, we began class with a discussion about Sources of Strength, and students continued reading, annotating, and discussing, chapter one of The Great Gatsby, Then, students were introduced to their Blooms-based Realism unit learning contract, and they were given time in class to plan their task-completion schedules, using their provided calendar.

Today, we began class with New Fiction Friday presentations. Then, the class continued the guided reading of the exposition of The Great Gatsby assignment. The class is to complete the answers for questions 7-10 for homework.

Today, the class was given five minutes to review for their unit 8 vocabulary quiz. Then, the class went to the Writing Center, where they took their vocabulary unit 8 quiz and CTLS mini-benchmark assessment #2. Then, students were introduced to their annotation assignment for The Great Gatsby. Please see Mrs. Crandall for a copy of this assignment. Next, the class engaged in a guided reading of the exposition of The Great Gatsby, which we will continue in class tomorrow.

Today, students took their Romanticism Unit Test. They were given the remainder of the class period to engage in independent reading.

Today, students presented their blind date presentations, and they were given the remainder of the class period to play a card game review for tomorrow's Romanticism exam.

Next, click on the "New" button, in upper right-hand corner. Scroll down to "Upload" and choose the file from your computer. Upload the file, which should be saved as your last name. Today, we began class with a warm-up exercise through which we addressed the first "T" in the TPCASTT poetry analysis organizer for the poem, "Thanatopsis." Then, students completed their "Self-Reliance" and "Civil Disobedience" CEI paragraphs. Then, students were given the remainder of the class period to work on their Emily and Walt Blind Date presentation projects. Homework:
