Film: The Great Debaters (Day One)Today, students began class with a warm-up exercise, through which they read a short poem, "I,Too, Sing America," by Langston Hughes (SpringBoard pg. 117). Then, the class discussed the question, "What makes this poem American?"

Then, the class engaged in an interactive PowerPoint Presentation through which students took Cornell notes and discussed characteristics of the Romantic Era.
