Step One: Review the AP Language Rhetorical Analysis Rubric. Summarize the requirements for each level, using exactly 13 words.
Step Two: Read each sample essay. Assign each sample essay a score, using the AP Rhetorical Analysis Rubric. Write a brief paragraph, justifying the score. Make sure to use the language of the rubric.
Step Three: Pick up and review the “Scoring Commentary” sheet. Compare the scores you’ve assigned each sample, and construct a brief reflection, comparing your scores to those of the AP graders.
