Today’s session begins with a preview of some new features on the blog and a preview of upcoming Zinc and NoRedInk assignments. Then, the class discusses what to do if CTLS and/or Zoom is experiencing technical issues. The class is introduced to the American Dream Socratic Seminar assignment and reads and discusses “I Hear American Singing,” by Walt Whitman (SB pg. 73), “I, Too,” by Langston Hughes (SB 76), and “I, Too, Sing America,” by Julia Alvarez (SB pg. 76). Then, the class begins working on Parts 2-3 of the “Kill the Indian, and Save the Man” portion of the Native American Annotation Assignment, which is to be completed by the beginning of class on Thursday.
